Gloria Reuben Wiki Biography
Gloria Elizabeth Reuben was born on 9 June 1964, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Pearl Avis, a classical singer, and Cyril Reuben, an architect of Jamaican descent. She is a Canadian-American actress and singer, best known for her role in the medical drama “ER” as Jeanie Boulet, Marina Peralta in the sci-fi series “Falling Skies”, and Elizabeth Keckley in the film “Lincoln”.
So just how rich is Gloria Reuben? Sources state that Reuben has amassed a net worth over $5 million, as of early 2014, the main source of her wealth has largely been her acting career, now spanning over 30 years.

Reuben’s father died when she was very young and her mother eventually remarried. Her half-brother is the late actor and children’s TV host Dennis Simpson. She started classical piano lessons when she was five years old, and later attended the Canadian Royal Conservatory, where she studied music technique and theory, ballet and jazz.
During the ’80s Reuben pursued a modeling career, and was crowned “Miss Black Ontario” in 1986.
Her acting career began in various TV commercials during the ’80s, such as for “Luvs Diapers”. She then began landing television gigs, appearing in series which included “Alfred Hitchcock Presents”, “The Flash” and “The Young Riders”. Her first film role came in 1992, playing Celeste in “Wild Orchid II: Two Shades of Blue”, and then Sarah Fielding in the sci-fi action film “Timecop” in 1994, paving her way to recognition and her net worth to grow.
The following year Reuben joined the cast of the popular NBC medical drama series “ER”, in the role of Jeanie Boulet, an HIV-positive physician assistant, which gave a boost to her career. The show offered an ideal showcase for Reuben’s remarkable acting talent, significantly adding to her net worth as she appeared for five seasons.
By the end of the ’90s, she had landed several film parts, such as in “Nick of Time”, “Indiscreet” and “Deep in My Heart”, increasing her wealth further.
Opportunities continued to come her way in the 2000s as well; the early part of the decade saw her making a number of small-screen appearances, playing Lisa Fabrizzi in “The Agency”, Brooke Haslett in “1-800-Missing”, and Rosalind Whitman in “Raising the Bar”, expanding her resume and further improving her fortune.
In 2007 she played the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in the Public Theater’s production of “Stuff Happens”, earning a Lucille Lortel award for Best Actress.
Reuben was cast as Marina Peralta in the 2012 science fiction post-apocalyptic series “Falling Skies”, which reinforced her popularity and greatly added to her net worth. The same year she had the role of Elizabeth Keckley in the Steven Spielberg acclaimed historical drama epic “Lincoln”, which brought her several nominations, including for the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, which cemented her fame and boosted her wealth.
Reuben’s most recent television involvement has been the role of Krista Gordon in the 2015 series “Mr. Robot”, and as Mayor Pamela Clayborne in the 2016 soap opera “Saints & Sinners”. Her most recent film appearances have been in the 2015 “The Longest Ride” and the 2016 “Anesthesia”.
Speaking about her singing career, Reuben sang the Canadian national anthem at the 1998 baseball All-Star game and the 2003 basketball All-Star game. In 2000 she was a backup singer for Tina Turner on her “24/7” Tour. She released a solo album, “Just For You”, in 2004 and is currently working on her second album called “Per Chance to Dream”.
A noted actress and singer, who was named one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World by People magazine, Reuben has established herself as a full-fledged star and, as such, has collected a considerable fortune.
Speaking about her off-camera life, Reuben was married to Wayne Isaak from 1999 to 2003. Sources have no current information about her love life.
