This success significantly boosted George Foreman's net worth, cementing his status as a savvy entrepreneur.

He would end the decade by selling more than 100 million units of The George Foreman Grill around the world.

The marketing and promotion of the product was a key to its popularity and commercial success, with Foreman lending his name to an evolving series of products and their promotions including the Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine.

In fact, they reportedly generated 40 cents for every grill sold, earning a remarkable sum that year totaling more than his prize earnings from his iconic boxing career when he sold the naming rights to use his moniker to Salton, Inc.
